Nigeria is said to have won her first medal at the ongoing 2012 Olympics holding in London nine days after the event started. A female member of Team Nigeria, Maryam Usman, sources say, has registered Nigeria’s name on the medals table.
She was said to have won a bronze medal from weightlifting, after facing stiff opposition.
Team Nigeria’s performance at the Games has been woeful. However, several sources have been debunking the claim, saying she did not win the medal.
If she truly won medal, then we say a big congrats to Maryam.
