Most Read: Mercy Johnson Is A Bully On Set

You most have hard that Mercy Johnson has been ban by movie producers for being too expensive, but that is not her problem, if you think you can not afford her just simple move to the next available person. The news around town is that Mercy Johnson who is allegedly the highest paid actress has been blacklisted by marketers for being too expensive.
That is ‘bullsheet’ if you ask me,if something is too expensive, move on to the next aba-made.
The marketers are probably trying to explain their own side of the story.
Read this interesting response i got via inbox…..
”how are you? i know this is off topic but I want to make something clear here, yes, you must have heard that Mercy Johnson has been banned from acting by marketers, let me give you an Info,Mercy is a Bully on set,and not them say, ask many upcoming actresses their experiences with her.
Mercy goes as far as suggesting to the so called marketers who she wants to act with and who she doesn’t want to act with, there was an incident she just heard that a certain actor just made a statement that she didn’t like,do you know what she did?
Any movie that she knew she was going to do with the top actor, she tells the makerters that she won’t act in the movie if that actor was going to be in that movie, please my people it’s only in Nigeria that things like this happen, severally some Directors tell upcoming actresses when They are on set with Mercy ,that they should best to go she is a Bully, she will make   upcoming actors too very uncomfortable, bully them,i always used to say to myself that she should remember she won’t stay forever on top, nobody knows tomorrow and look at, the so called marketers are now wise, and not foolish to dance to her tune always.
Tonto Dikeh who people say is crazy and yes she can be is one of the best actresses on set,ask people she encourages upcomers, she will even correct you and always too nice to actors on set, please just ask people, i thought I should make this known,Nobody knows tomorrow you can never be at the top and bullying people cos you feel you are on top”
*I am not interested in whatever crap these marketers have to say, they are also the reason Nollywood is still crawling on its knees.when it favours them, they keep quiet and when not they cry wolf.
If Mercy Johnson is the highest paid actress,so how much does Genevieve,Rita,Omotola and other big names collect?……huh?
I wonder why these marketers still control what goes in Nollywood, ibinabo you need to do something about this.
Being rude on set is not a big deal if she is,everyone has an attitude problem sometimes!

See What Nollywood movie director Charles Novia Said About Maheeda

Charles Novia at last react to what have be going on with Maheeda’s photo  on tje internet, Nollywood movie producer, Charles Novia will always have a say on every matter and this time, it’s about the controversial Maheeda, who has been topic of discussion on social media because she was always posting erotic photos of herself online.
He has voiced out his thoughts on the self acclaimed gospel singer’s weird behavior.
He wrote this article titled: “Maheeda’s maladjustment”.
Read article below:
In the past few months, some prominent and other bandwagon bloggers have been inundating the social media space with inappropriate pictures of a confused personality called Maheeda. From scanty information available about the lady, she used to be a prostitute who got ‘converted’ into Christianity and later released a Gospel album or some singles. Somehow, she decided to straddle the pop culture horse and brought out some nifty singles and videos which found backwater acceptance on Youtube.
Maheeda is also reported to be married to a white dude and she is presumed to be presently living in a European country with the man and her daughter (or divorced or seperated from him as some reports say) I took little pains to do this background research on her so as to be well-informed about the next few points I would make about her behaviour.
Somehow, Maheeda started posting suggestive pictures of her body on her instagram page which caught the interest of Nigerian bloggers. Since blogging is generally an acceptable form of lazy journalism and tittle-tattling in Nigeria, Maheeda’s pictures got the desired attention she wanted. Either by a covert or overt payment to leading bloggers to keep her in the news (as it is wont in Nigerian cyberspace) or a calculated ploy to garner more hits to their sites, the bloggers went all the way out with more indulging pictures of the young lady. And she was ever willing to give more and cheerfully too with no intention by me to denigrate her past profession by this phrase.
From suggestive pictures of her near unclad body parts, the young lady went on a visual spree of debased pictures of herself and with the lecherous or amused oogling of social media commentators, she finally threw whatever was left of her indiscreet womanhood and posted wanton naked pictures of herself on instagram. Blogosphere went crazy in Nigeria with repressed hypocrites heaping accolades or abuses at her or ravished reprobates asking her to carry on!
Instagram finally had enough a few days ago and deleted her account for good for crossing boundaries of (in)decency, perhaps.
It is instructive to psycho-analyse negative trenders such as Maheeda who have decided to gain cheap or compulsory notoriety by posting pictures of their nakedness on social networks. Granted, there were others before her based in Nigeria or somewhere in America , some older Nanny Goats who threw decorum to the wind as well and posted pictures of drooping breasts and disgusting backsides in a bid to gain unfathomable attention. Did Maheeda learn from them? Or did she decide to improve on their art ( or rather, their tart!)?.
Whatever the reasons are, we all should be worried about this growing trend where shamelessness and wanton exposure of Nigerian women is fast becoming the order of the day. The children see all these things and I shudder to think of what is going to happen in our social space in a few years. A replication or cloning of millions of Maheedas and her likes is probably inevitable. Oh yes, there are some who would react angrily to the fears I have expressed here and post comments under ‘Anonymous’ name tags on some blogs where this article would find amplification and vilify me and not my points. For such missing links, you are entitled to your putrid opinions in the closets of your anonimity where cowards and bullies find voice. But the fact remains that you who support and urge the Maheedas of this clime to carry on with the de-mystification of all that is dear and sacrosanct womanhood, are no better than she is. You are intertwined in the pugnancy of her putrid purpose. You both are destroyers of the last remnants of the African woman’s mystique and majesty. You support and encourage her to destroy your children’s moral future. That is just the plain truth.
I may not know much about psychology or psychosis but I am willing to bet that Mrs Maheeda is in the early stages of bi-polarism. It is possible that she is using the pictures to Jekyll and Hyde her mental health issues. Mercifully, she lives in a Western society where it is only a matter of time where her total sanity would be called to question.
But if Maheeda is not ill, then what is her plan? Is she possessed by a legion of seventy times seven demons after her earlier conversion to Christianity? Or is she just being plain silly? If she is being silly, then the blogs and websites which amplified her silly whims have a moral question to answer.
But Maheeda is not the only by-product of a jaundiced country. We have her likes in the National affairs of this country. Only, those types don’t have to post their pictures for us to see. They are already naked dancers in the ruinous chambers of national leadership. They and the mad ones before them inflicted the pain on the social fibre of Nigeria which Maheeda was unfortunate to grow up in. Their naked dances of greed and corruption turned Maheeda and millions like her into Prostitutes to eke a daily living. Maheeda could well be paying back the society with her nakedness, spoiling the children of the new Nigeria as a vengeance eats her. She just might be saying, ‘ as una spoil my life, me sef go spoil una pikin own’. And stupidly the children of her vengeful mission oogle and applaud.
It is not also far-fetched too that Maheeda might be using the naked pictures of herself as a new form of visual prostitution. Selling her body , now revamped and refurbished in a new clime, to her former clients as if to call them out. She might be saying, ‘You can’t have this now. I have gone to another level’.
Indeed, she has reached a new level. An all-time low of self-destruction in a gradual process. But knowing the society in which I live and where she comes from, her destruction may be pyrhic: the sick social society would soon invite her to red carpet functions and events. Soon, she just might be signing autographs and strutting societal streets of false adulation.
Then she would have have the last laugh. Or perhaps maybe society and fate have one last wince to elicit from her.
Time has a way of telling, though.

Nigeria movies directors has been lately producing home movies in Ghana and the Ghanian movie industry has come of age they now produces more high class home movies compare to Nigeria producers.
Popular Nigerian actors Aki & Pawpaw, Kwadjo ‘Liwin’ Nkansah and other actors have been suddenly stopped from shooting a movie in Kumasi, Ghana.
The directive which came from the Film Producers’ Association of Ghana (FIPAG) was due to the fact that the director of the movie had breached some of the association’s regulations.
The public relations officer (PRO) for the Association, Mr. Michael Ola, disclosed this in an exclusive interview with NYDJlive.
The PRO explained that the FIPAG had no qualms with the Nigerian duo but believed the right procedure had to be followed, especially when the new executives of the Association had laid out new strategies to make the industry a better one.

Sexy Mercy Johnson Reveals All Her Fulfillment As Nollywood Star

The Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson reveals all about how she started and the movie industry so far, she talked about what she has archive and her best moment as Nollywood star. read the complete gist below...
I am Mercy Johnson, an actress. I was born 29 years ago and I am the fourth child in a family of seven. My father is an ex-military officer and I left my mother at the age of two to live with him. Due to the nature of his job, he was constantly transferred from one station to another. I am proud of him because he taught me all I needed to know from childhood to adulthood.

I have grown with time and there have been good and bad times. There have been rumors and scandals. Sometimes, when I cry in movies, it wasn’t the script that made me cry. Rather, I reflect on my humble beginning and the height I’ve attained now. This makes me cry.

Journey into acting

After my secondary school education, I approached a friend for assistance to feature in a movie. He took me to the National Theatre, Lagos, but a role did not come until a year later. My first lead role was in a film titled, ‘The Maid.’ It was quite challenging to interprete because it was my first movie. When I saw the veterans on set, I fidgeted.

A star actress

Life is in phases and I cannot say I have reached the peak of my profession. I have not even won an Oscar yet! There is always a higher mountain to climb, a new vision to fulfill and I am at that point. I want to achieve new and greater dreams.

Fulfillment

The greatest fulfillment is the ability to influence people positively through my acting.

Challenges

Life is not a bed of roses; it comes with challenges which make me stronger and who I am.

Nollywood: Then and now

We have achieved feats which the old Nollywood did not achieve. It is all about progression and I am sure that in the future, Nollywood will achieve a greater feat than it is doing currently.

Relationship

My husband is loving and he is an understanding man. I am so happy to be married to him. I acted a movie, ‘Baby Oku in America’ when I was heavily pregnant and he didn’t feel bad about it. He understands that I am an actor and sometimes, we need real life situations, like the pregnancy, to interpret a role. Not many men would allow their wife do that.

Scandals

They are all lies. I just think the media needs to do their verification well before they put any story out. Whenever I read all manner of lies about me in the media, I wonder where all of these came from and regret being an actor. But in all, I move on and take it as one of the hazards of the job. I am fulfilled as an actor.

Mercy Johnson Foundation

I floated the foundation because of my love for the less privileged. One of my greatest joys is to see other people happy. I want to make lasting impact in my society. The objective is to identify the needs of the less privilege, evaluate them and help in our own little way. I strongly believe that as movie stars, we should live beyond the euphoria of stardom.

A sexy woman

It is inbuilt. It’s just how you feel about yourself. For me, being sexy is confidence. It mustn’t be about the hairstyle or the accessories or the big buttocks. It’s about you, liking yourself just the way you are.

Motherhood

My husband is a wonderful man. He makes my job easier and helps carry our daughter, Purity. He feeds her and she misses him whenever he is not around. As a family, we understand one another and we make whatever adjustments we have to make in order to have a good home.

Success

The challenges I faced have yielded results and I am reaping the fruits of all my efforts. I have grown from nobody in the industry to becoming a top actress from Africa. To God be all the glory.

To be an actress

Talent is never enough you must constantly brush up your talent but training can come in different form. You only need to ensure that in whatever form, you are not just relying on your inborn talent.

Projects

There are many but I’m not permitted to disclose them yet. They will start unfolding soon.

Fear

My worst fear will be to leave this earth without making a huge impact.

Fashion

I don’t wear what is in vogue or what everybody is wearing, I just wear what suits me and I’m lucky to have a physique that encourages everything I wear. My husband is a huge critic, so when he pays compliments to my dressing, I feel so good. He doesn’t believe that exposing anything makes you look better. He feels when you cover up, you look real nice.

To upcoming actors

Be yourself and let your talent speak for you. Don’t come into the industry because you want to be famous, but because you love the art of acting. Then try to appreciate those who were there before you.

Re-election Nollywood Stars Campaign For President Jonathan’s 2015

Nollywood has join the trend of politicians who are campaigning for president Jonathan's re-election in 2o15 just because the president has supported and promise to support film producer in Nigeria.
Pro-government rallies, reminiscent of the Abacha era, are on their way back in the country.
This time, they will be at the instance of Nollywood stars whose delegation met yesterday in Abuja with the National Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) ,Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, to work out the modalities.
The project is planned to include ‘peace’ rallies and concerts in the six geo-political zones, according to leader of the delegation, Emeka Ike.
It is expected to be in collaboration with celebrities in the music industry and Nigerian footballers.
The organisers said the rallies would be geared toward addressing the drifting socio-political situation in the country.
Ike told the party chairman that the stars would mobilise Nigerian youths on the need for togetherness and peaceful coexistence in the country, most especially at the grassroots.
The artists said the planned rallies would also focus on the need for the PDP to resolve its internal crises so that the ruling party could focus on governance in the interest of the Nigerian people.
According to them, a module has been developed for infusing the culture of responsiveness and national interest in political office holders in the land.
The event, they added, would also feature renowned footballers like Celestine Babayaro and music stars like 2-Face Idibia.
The rallies will be preceded by a press conference in Abuja on Monday followed by mobilisation of Nollywood and football stars to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, which has been the epicentre of the Boko Haram insurgency.
Ike said: “We would round off by mobilising the Nigerian youths, including Nollywood, football and music stars in our country to Maiduguri to campaign for peace”.
Tukur expressed delight in the move by the stars to champion the cause of peace and national reconciliation in the country and urged other Nigerian youths to join the train.
The party chairman said he was of the conviction that the stars could repackage Nigeria for a better image, stressing that the country was in dire need of such packaging at this point in history.
He encouraged the stars to embark on the planned rally and promised to lend the required inspiration towards the success of the rally.
“I am aware that you people have conquered Africa because your movies are being watched across Africa and the rest of the world. “Today, I want to encourage you to take ownership of your successes and move over to be global citizens,”the chairman said.
A pro-government rally took place on October 6 at the Murtala Muhammed Square in Kaduna to solicit support for President Goodluck Jonathan’s alleged bid to contest the 2015 election.
However, the gathering tagged Northern Youth Rally ended in chaos after the participants began demanding their “share of the money,” the organisers allegedly collected from the presidency.
Security operatives took away an official of the Northern Youth Forum (NYF) from the venue to prevent him from being lynched by the angry youths who threw sand, stones and sachet water at him.
The youths shouted: “Give us our own share, give us our own share.”
On August 25, the First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, locked down the Federal Capital Territory metropolis with what she described as a mass rally and carnival organised to take “stock of the gains recorded so far in the empowerment of Nigerian women and the quest for peace in the country”.
The rally was the brain child of the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) in collaboration with the office of the First Lady of the Federation.
The programme was organised as part of the ongoing underground campaign for President Jonathan’s 2015 presidential ambition.
The women wore dresses with pictures of President Jonathan .

Love will always find you but in this case this Nollywood actress finds love again, I guess she really feels good.

Divorced actress, Jennifer Eliogu has found love again, and this time, the man who is tickling her fancy is Emeka Morgan, The CEO of Morgan Entertainment, the man allegedly at war with the late musician, MC Loph’s family.

The man, who has been accused of being behind the untimely death of the musician by some uncanny diabolical means, is said to be lighting up her fire after signing her up to his label when she ventured into music, and is spoiling her silly with all the good things of life.

You will recall how Jennifer was chased out of  her former husband’s home owing to her alleged promiscuous lifestyle, with the paternity of her child in doubt.

The case made headlines when her husband came out in the open to declare that Jennifer was actually sleeping around with other men and he had no choice but to kick her out of their matrimonial home.

The story then had it that Jennifer, whose husband was based in Europe, had visited her husband and after a few weeks claimed she was pregnant.

Unfortunately for the actress, when she was delivered of the baby, it was discovered that the time difference for pregnancy and delivery did not match the time she claimed she was pregnant.

Further investigation by the family of the husband revealed that the actress was all the while carrying another man’s child and had gone to Europe to place the paternity on her husband.

On getting the information and also getting details of Jennifer’s frolicking with various men in Nigeria, the husband instructed his siblings to throw Jennifer and the new baby out of the duplex he rented for her in the Ajah area of Lagos.

Nollywood Actress Genevieve falls sick in London

It was an anti-climax for Nollywood superstar Genevieve Nnaji a.k.a Genny after she flew to London for last weekend’s premier of the movie of the moment, Half of a Yellow Sun, only to fall sick and miss the big event.
The cruel fate that befell Genevieve, who plays Ms. Adebayo in the world acclaimed movie, was disclosed by the director, Biyi Bandele, who said they missed Genny at the premiere. According to Bandele in a post on his Facebook wall on Sunday,

“Just got back from the BFI London Film Festival European premiere of Half of a Yellow Sun at the Odeon West End. Humbled and moved by the rapturous reception the audience gave it. It was also great to see the hardest working actor on our hemisphere, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and the great John Boyega, and the amazing Babou Ceesay, and the one and only Onyeka Onwenu. And Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, of course. Without whom… We missed Thandie, who is on location in Vancouver. We missed Genevieve, who flew in for the premiere and promptly went down with a flu (mind yourself o, London weather). What a night though. What a night.”
