REVEALED: Why Peter Okoye’s Family Members Do Not Like His New Wife

I know a lot of fans will want to know why Peter Okoye’s big brother did not attend his wedding to Lola Omotayo which took place on Sunday, 17th of November.

Various reasons have been given for this curious occurrence and a report by a Nigeria entertainment website went on to reveal what is truly going on in the family.

On Sunday, November 17, 2013, Lagos stood still for Psquare‘s Peter Okoye and fiancée Lola Omotayo as the couple held their traditional wedding ceremony, surprisingly elder brother Jude Okoye was missing.

Social network has been buzzing. The twins’ publicist Bayo Adetu said Jude was missing at the wedding because he was stuck in Ghana. Psquare had performed in Accra, Ghana at the ‘Glo and Bounce Slide‘ tour the night before. Adetu says Jude missed his flight and couldn’t get back to Lagos in time for the nuptials.

But a source who was part of another artiste’s entourage to Ghana for the concert says Jude Okoye did NOT travel to Ghana. ‘We didn’t see him, the twins were here with their band but we didn’t see Jude‘, a source said.

There are few instances pointing to the fact that Jude did not travel with his Pop star twin brothers to Ghana for the concert: Jude, a regular user of photo sharing Instagram never fails to post photos of their trip outside Nigeria – there were no photos of him aboard the airplane heading to GH, photos of the twins performing at the concert.
One source asks: ‘If he was truly stuck in Ghana, wouldn’t he have even lamented on Twitter like D’banj?‘.

Instead Jude posted a photo of himself and Wizkid in the studio. The picture is believed to have been taken a night before at the Mavin Records studio where he had been working with Don Jazzy, Dr SID, Phyno and others.

Inside sources in the Okoye family revealed that Jude Okoye and a few other family members did not support their brother’s marriage to his baby mama Lola Omotayo. Some sources also also claim their late mother never supported the relationship too.
‘Jude and some others don’t like her. They never gave their blessing for the marriage. Paul too, but he is his twin. Other family members who were there were reluctant to attend. Jude didn’t go because he never supported the idea from day one‘, a family source tells us.

Some of the Okoye family members have even gone as far as insinuating that Lola Omotayo has allegedly constantly cheated on Peter Okoye. It was gathered there have been demands for a DNA test to really ascertain whether his children Cameron and Aliona are truly his. ‘It’s that serious, they claim Lola sleeps around with her so called ‘uncles’, they want a DNA test done, they just want to protect their brother‘.

This allegations have not been confirmed, and Adetu insists there are no issues, that Jude was only MIA because he was stuck in Ghana. One of the couple’s friends also told us all these are ‘wicked rumours’. ‘Wicked, false rumours. Nothing can be more false and distasteful. They should leave them alone and let them have peace…’
Lola currently lives in a mansion in Park View estate, Ikoyi. The Okoyes are currently building their new home somewhere not to far from there. It is uncertain where the couple will make their home.

Jude Okoye has been working with Psquare, his younger brothers since they released their first album ‘Last Nite‘ under Timbuk2 Music label back in 2003.

Jude Okoye is Against Peter Okoye’s Wedding? (LOOK)

I just spoke with P-Square’s publicity, Bayo Adetu, and he confirmed that Jude Okoye was not at Peter and Lola’s wedding yesterday. I asked why he didn’t attend and Mr Adetu said Jude and some members of P-Square’s band were stuck in Ghana after their Saturday night show. He said Peter and Paul were able to make the trip back on Sunday morning but not Jude. That’s the official reason but erm, I don’t know if I believe it. 1, they traveled by private jet so…how can you get stuck? 2, people have been writing to me that the music exec was spotted at different locations in Lagos yesterday, and 3, Jude posted a pic of himself and Wizkid at Don Jazzy’s Mavin studio on instagram yesterday and never made mention of the wedding. Really weird! Hopefully there’s good reason for his missing his own brother’s wedding.
And like I said yesterday, Paul was at the wedding! He just didn’t participate in many pic taking.

• You just came back after giving birth to your new baby boy, how do you feel?

I feel great, I feel blessed and I can say God has really been so good to me. And that’s why I would always say learn to be good all the time. Also, I felt it’s good to be myself and not believing in negativity. Life is like pages of a book which you read daily.
As for the joy of motherhood, I just give thanks to God that I now have what I desired. My desire was to have a boy and a girl. I adore a male child. I am so happy. I remain my humble self. I know myself and nobody knows me more than myself.

• You said nobody knows you more than you know yourself, does that have to do with the scandals and rumours which engulfed your marriage?

Yes, because it was all blackmail. I can’t join issues with blackmailers. And I just concluded such is life. Life is a teacher, the longer you live the more you learn. It just shows the extent to which people can go to blackmail someone.
Being whom I am, I always believe in God and that no matter how devilish a person may be, he can’t destroy the work of God in me. And whosoever God has placed in high places, nobody can pull her down.
All these allegations, I don’t know the objective but I guess it’s a calculated attempt to bring me down by all negative forces. I just decided to keep quiet because you are being spoken of because you are relevant.

• Who is your blackmailer, is it your first husband?

I don’t know. And I am not interested in knowing. All I am interested in knowing is God. However, all I can say is that when God is working on, no man can destroy such work.

• Your marriage was secret. All we heard was that you had remarried and next you were about delivery, why the secrecy and hush hush?

Obviously, I love my life to be as private as possible. If anybody felt its a bad choices, he’s entitled to his own opinion. My opinion is that since I am a popular entertainer and a public figure, I deserve my private life which is reserved exclusively to me alone.
There should be a limit to my public life. I don’t believe in advertising my private life. Also, I don’t celebrate failure. I cherish my family and I don’t want anybody to shatter my home. My home and private life should be reserved for me. It is not for public consumption.

• You said you don’t celebrate failure, are you referring to your failed marriage?

I just don’t celebrate failure. I believe in the good and bad part of life. That means if its rough today, it could be well tomorrow. Thus, if you don’t have such a mindset, you begin to find things so difficult.

• How would you describe the new marriage?

You can’t change who I am. I don’t talk about my marriage. I can’t talk about my love. I just don’t find it convenient discussing my love. It’s nobody’s business. I am in love, good. I am remarried, good. I have a new kid, good, I am who I am, good, I am contented and I am so happy with my life. Thus, anybody who is not happy with my new found joy should go to hell.

• When the brouhaha was going on, your previous husband made several allegations against you and called you several derogatory names, what’s your take on these stuff?

I was nursing my baby when it all began. I was in a joyous mood and proud of who I am. I was grateful to God for what He was doing, thus I never noticed all he was saying. That’s the simple truth. I don’t ever want to notice anything.

• What’s the lesson learnt?

Nothing sincerely, I was not bothered.

• Would you describe your previous marriage as good riddance to bad rubbish?

I won’t talk about that marriage. Never!

• What are you working on now?

On November 24, 2013, my production company will come up with the official album launch of my artists, T Code. And we would hit location very soon with two new movies I shot partly abroad while nursing my baby boy in America. They are entitled Iron Lady and America Psycho. They would hit the cinema soon.

Touching! 3 Georgia sisters hold joint wedding so dying mother can attend

Emotions ran high as a Georgia woman battling advanced breast cancer watched her three daughters get married in a last-minute triple wedding ceremony Sunday.

Jodie, Sarah and Kaylie Swales, of Snellville, decided to get married on the same day so their mother, Becky, could see them walk down the aisle before she died, MyFoxAtlanta.com.
"It's kind of bittersweet," Jodie Swales told MyFoxAtlanta.com before Sunday's ceremony. "We are happy that she's here, but this will probably be the last big thing that we do with her."

The family said in a statement that Becky Swales passed away Monday morning after battling breast cancer for four years. The sisters were originally scheduled to wed Oct. 26, but the date was moved up after a change in prognosis.

During the planning process, the community of Snellville rallied around the family, sending in donations and offering a venue for a wedding reception planned for later this month, MyFoxAtlanta.com reported.
The wedding itself went off without a hitch, and Becky Swales' dream of watching her daughters get married came true as she watched her husband, Otis Swales, walk all three brides down the aisle.
"It's hard, but I'm proud of my daughters,"  Otis Swales said before the ceremony.  "I just pray God gives me strength to get through every day."

In these hard times, people are blowing and burning pots of money on very fancy weddings that really don't last after the honey moon. In this age, some parents still pressure their daughters in getting married early. It's like, once your girl crosses the 30yrs bracket, they start to panic, getting anxious and putting pressure on their girl to get married, like it is that easy. She just can't go to the market and buy a husband, or can she? When the poor girl insists on finding her dream man, she is accused of being unserious. Parents please learn to back off joor, it's not by force. After all, are they the ones who will leave with the spouse?

 

There is nothing wrong with waiting for the right person, because if it is the razzmatazz of the wedding things that you enjoy, go ahead and throw yourself a big nonstop party for a whole week. After all, weddings are just one day event, but a marriage is supposed to be a life time thing. I know that weddings are fun, romantic and you can finally tell your girlfriends, boyfriends or your sugar daddy's that you have finally captured your own ‘mugu’. But has this guy been tried and tested? Dating and courting is a different matter from ‘Till Death Do You Part’. Living with one human being for the rest of your life. My sister look the thing well oooo. Bebe, do you have an idea how your guy functions in rough weather? When reality bites, is he calm or does he freak out? Do you share the same interest in some things? Bebe, before you rush into this marriage, it is important to learn where your partner stands on the bigger issues of your life together. Do you have the same values? Sit him down and have a long talk about these and other issues that are of importance to you, you may discover that chances of a long lasting marriage could be slimmer; women are intuitively wired to pick up these things. Are you a learner?

 

For me, I got hooked up with a woman I never saw coming and a woman I will never let go. When I met my wife, she was not even a girlfriend or a lover. I liked her physically, because she had and still have curves that men would die for, but she was never my idea of a wife. She kept hanging around like other beautiful women around me; it was more or less a platonic relationship. All the time I didn't know I was under the microscope of the FBI and the CIA. She was to tell me all this after our marriage. Even though we dated for about 3yrs, in my wildest dream I never saw her coming till one morning after sleeping over, she woke me up, looked me straight into my sleepy eyes and demanded that I marry her in the next few days or she will leave me. Wow! Before then, no one ever threatened me like that, no one ever gave me ultimatums. Who born them? Me CharlyBoy? Little did I know that this woman for years has been doing research on me, this woman has seen me ‘finish’, figured out how to arrest and deal with me. When I was much younger, I had a very violent temper, I was obnoxious. And she had witnessed me a few times in my rage with other women. "Ain't you afraid that I will hurt or harm you" to that she answered, "you can never hurt or harm me because I will never give you a reason to" hummmmmm!!!  Oh! See finish.

 

 Bebe, it's easy to know what you are getting into. If in doubt, investigate, set exams for the guy. I believe women are emotionally smarter than men. You must know who you want to marry, it's important for your happiness. You don't deserve scrap especially if you are hardworking, intelligent, progressive and forward looking. Investigate him from all angles, don't be in a rush joor. You don't deserve that heartache because the way marriages are crashing, it's making me catch cold.

With the way things are going, very soon we will be throwing divorce parties and inviting friends and well-wishers to celebrate divorce anniversaries. They will choose asoebe, hire a big hall, with Dbanj as the entertainer and Julius Agu as the MC. Even questions like, "when are you getting your divorce" will be the buzz.

 

So if you know you can't handle the pressure, remain single. If the man is still under investigation, please take your time, don't rush. If you know that you are too horny to be faithful, biko remain single and have a ball. If you can't endure bad weather from time to time, stay in your father’s house joor. Never get married out of desperation or because other people are getting married.  If you want a beautiful home, like mine, examine your choice of a life partner, there are a lot of gigolos out there preying on desperate babes like you.
