Before jetting out of the country on Tuesday, President Goodluck Jonathan struck a compromise with the leadership of the National Assembly with regards to wrangling over the 2013 Budget. Consequently, he has signed the controversial 2013 Appropriation Bill into law.
Nobody has told Nigerians anything about how all the money budget for 2012 and previous years of this administration were spent. Another round of the yearly ritual has started.
A statement by the Presidency said the latest development came to be after "consultation and agreement" the President had with the lawmakers.
