Her name is OkikiJesu Olawuyi. She is the first Nigerian baby born without a skull.
The baby was born on the 11th of May 2010 with a rare birth deformity with the absence of over 50% of her skull.
The rare birth deformity has been identified as Congenital Cranial Deficiency by specialists.
The baby has been to several hospitals with no cure for her rare case.
A non-profit organization, Global Initiative for Peace Love and Care, GIPLC based in Abuja has taken up her case.
Within 72 hours, $234,000 an equivalent of 37 million Nigerian naira was raised for her treatment.
Okikijesu’s surgery will begin in April 2013 at John Hopkins Hospital in the USA.
