Forbes just released its list of the 100 highest-paid athletes in the world in the last year.
Tiger Woods is back on top after a one-year absence. He made $78.1 million in the last year thanks to his dramatic rise back to the top of the golf world. Floyd Mayweather Jr. who was No. 1 last year didn’t make the first 1o but made the first 20 being on 14.
Maria Sharapova is the highest-paid female athlete on the list. She came in just outside the top 20 (No. 22), making $29 million.

Unfortunately, no Nigerian made the list. However, some Africans made us proud; with Usain Bolt topping Africa’s list followed by Didier Drogba, Yaya Toure and Samuel Eto’o. Their positions are 40th, 64th, 67th and100th respectively.
