FORMER President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday led a fresh reconciliation team to the Bodija residence of erstwhile Oyo State Governor Rashidi Ladoja.
Obasanjo, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, held a closed-door parley with Ladoja in the company of former Deputy Governor Taofeek Arapaja and erstwhile Speaker of the House of Assembly, Adeolu Adeleke, as well as other chieftains of the PDP in the state.
At the end of the discussion, Obasanjo who declined comments from reporters likened his visit to Ladoja and his return to the party as that of a crayfish, which has been bent by circumstances.
He said: “Something happened which made crayfish to bend and added that with time, the bent crayfish would be straightened.”
Ladoja confirmed that negotiation was ongoing between his Accord Party and the PDP.
