By Emma Arubi
WARRI — PUBLISHER and Chairman, Vanguard Media Limited, Mr. Sam Amuka, Thursday charged Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State  to tackle the security challenges facing the state.
He also asked the governor to explain why over N7.4 billion would be spent on clearing mountains of sand at the Asaba airport, saying Deltans need to know to be more informed on the matter.

Speaking  Thursday evening as the chairman of a retreat in Warri entitled “Landmarks and Legacy” organised by the Delta State Government in collaboration with Tas and Associates, Amuka said he accepted to attend the retreat as chairman because he was assured that the retreat would not be a jamboree where the governor would not be asked the necessary questions agitating the minds of the people because it would amount to biting the finger that feeds them.
He charged the participants to put all their questions in writing and submit same to him or Prof. Sam Oyovbaire, Managing Partner/CEO of Tas and Associates signed or unsigned, promising that they would confront the governor with all the biting questions.
The three-day retreat  would be closed to newsmen today and tomorrow with the resolutions submitted to the governor for action.
The retreat was designed to review and  propose solutions to identified problems to guide the governor in the remaining part of his tenure.
