Improvised explosive device was on Saturday found close to a popular soccer viewing centre where soccer fans were expected to converge to watch the English FA cup finals between Liverpool and Chelsea football clubs.
The device was allegedly said to be planted around Kings Garden located at Brigade quarters in Kano metropolis. Investigations revealed that all the soccer viewing centres across the state, specifically those sited in Sabon Gari area, closed shops.
The Kano State police command spokesman, Musa Magaji Majia, confirmed the incident, saying no casualty was recorded.
