Buhari And Tinubu Form Joint Ticket To Defeat PDP In 2015

The presidential candidate of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and the leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Bola Tinubu are said to have reached conclusions to have a joint Buhari/Tinubu Presidential Ticket come 2015.

Coolgist.com gathered that the decision to form a joint ticket is because the major opposition parties believe that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) could only be defeated if they come together as one. I hear talks are already ongoing as to the best platform that should be utilized for the "salvation of Nigeria from the hands of corrupt leaders".

A CPC chieftain and governorship candidate in the 2011 elections in Enugu State, Mr. Osita Okachukwu, also told LEADERSHIP that both parties have learnt a lot from the mistakes and misfortune of the 2011 elections, and that both leaders had agreed to bury all differences this time and forge ahead with the joint Buhari/Tinubu ticket.

“The CPC Renewal Committee, led by former minister of FCT, Ahmed el-Rufai did the ground work for the coming together of Gen. Buhari and Ahmed Tinubu for effective political collaboration and merger and this has yielded positive results... With the joint ticket, it is certain that the bandied 60 years of PDP rule in Nigeria has come to an end”, Mr. Okachukwu stressed.
