Principal/Owner of Team Nigeria Racing Eagle, Ribi Adeshokan has disclosed that the racing team will compete soon in the GT3 series.
Speaking to Vanguard Sports in Lagos, the Motorsports manager said the team would participate in twelve races in the various races in the GT3 series when it finally enters the series.
“We are looking at ten to twelve races at least in the GT3 series as it would be heavy on us financially to compete in all of the series. This will enable our drivers rob shoulders with the best in the series as we look ahead to entering the Formula 1 someday,” Adeshokan said.
He further noted that, before the Nigerian Racing Eagles drivers would enter into the GT3 series which happens to be the International B license, they would first compete in few races before getting their pass.
“One of our drivers, Ovie Iroro would be competing this weekend in Rockingham in the UK which is just on of the four races he will be competing in to get his license to partake in the GT3 series,” Adeshokan added.
He further said that the qualification for the GT3 series is difficult as more than 5,000 drivers would be crashing the tracks as only just 20 would qualify.
