We Are Sponsored By PDP & NNPC Officials –Arrested Crude Oil Thieves

Security Agents are now conducting serious investigation on some highly placed chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party fingered as being the mastermind of a stolen 6.5million barrels crude oil ship that was recently arrested by operatives of the Nigerian Navy on the high sea.

Also, two officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and two top oil marketers alleged to be part of the thieving ring are being investigated. Two of the vessels being used for the fraudulent business were said to be owned by two top chieftains of the PDP.

Already, six new suspects, including four additional Filipinos and two Russians had been arrested for the theft. Six crew members of the French ship, MT Vannessa, used for the theft were arrested on June 21 when the vessel was impounded with the stolen oil.
The arrested suspects were said to have mentioned the names of the PDP and NNPC officials and four other ships involved in the massive corruption.

President Goodluck Jonathan, our correspondents learnt, had asked for the report of the investigation into the theft and had vowed to deal decisively with anybody found culpable as a deterrent to other criminals in the oil sector.

Olufamous.com gathered that the suspects, in their statements, also indicted some very senior political office holders and officials of the Department of Petroleum Resources.

“The President is interested in the matter because of the increasing theft of crude oil. Anytime from now, there will be a meeting involving the Petroleum Resources Minister, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, and top security officials. This matter cannot be swept under the carpet," a member of the Naval Special Squad said.
