My Fellow Bombers Heading To Abuja; Says Terrorist Arrested In Okene

A captured bomber involved in the car bombing of a filling station in Okene Township, Kogi State, on Sunday made a startling confession that another car rigged with bombs and two fellow terrorists at the controls may be heading to Nigeria's federal capital, Abuja, to carry out a bomb attack.

This revelation is coming after a second bomb planted at the entrance of a church in the same Okene exploded before the end of church service.

The Joint Military Task Force (JTF) commander in the state, Lieutenant-Colonel Gabriel Olorunyomi, said the bomb was planted at the front of the Lord’s Chosen Church in Obehira area of Okene. Sources say it may have been wrongly timed as no one was injured in that attack.

Moments before the car exploded at the filling station, Olufamous.com gathered that residents of the area said they saw two men walk briskly away from the car into a bush around the area. Members of a vigilante group searched the forest and found one of the two men and later handed him over to the Joint Task Force team in the township.

A source said the captured car bomber confessed that he and his accomplice were headed to Abuja in a gold-colored "Honda Academy" saloon car.
