The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero’s convoy was attacked yesterday, 6 people were killed and his 2 sons has gun shot wounds
Following Saturday’s attack on his convoy in which about six people were killed, 83-year-old Emir of Kano, Alhaji Dr. Ado Bayero is presently at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, bound for the United Kingdom.
Sources told Daily Trust that the monarch and his two sons who both sustained gun shot wounds are being flown for further treatment.
However, there are no official reports that the revered monarch sustained any injuries during the attack and it is believed he could be going for a routine check-up following the attempt on his life. The Emir had spent several weeks in the UK last year due to ill-health and returned in July 2012.
