Presidency Blasts Amaechi over Govs Forum Fight With Jonathan

Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Ahmed Gulak, has said PDP Governors’ Forum was established because the party became disenchanted with the way Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State was running the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, NGF.

Gulak said Amaechi ran the NGF as a trade union and without having recourse to laid down mechanisms of resolving issues with President Goodluck Jonathan, a disregard to the PDP.

He said this was completely contrary to what the PDP leaders expected from a governor elected on the platform of the party.

Speaking during a programme on independent Channels, Gulak confessed that the PDP decided to establish a forum for its governors since the party no longer had influence on the NGF headed by Amaechi.

These politicians are just position themselves for the battle ahead in 2015....
