Twitter Handle Of Pope Benedict XVI Changed To ''Sede Vacante''


The 85-year-old German Pontiff etched his place in history on Thursday after becoming the first pope since Celestine V in 1294 to step down from the holy office willingly, in a move likely to change the papacy forever...his twitter page was not left out...what used to be this:

...is now having a new name....which you will see after the cut...

...where Sede Vacante is an expression, used in Latin to mean "the seat being vacant"
Looking at the timeline, it may look like all the Pope's previous tweets have all been deleted....but that is not the case, because they've only been archived.
