After weeks of speculation about whether George Clooney and Stacy Keibler had called it quits, ET can confirm that they have indeed ended their two-year relationship.
A source close to the couple opened up to People magazine about the breakup. "Stacy called it quits. She wants to have children
and a family someday. She knows where George stands on that," the
source said. "They talked and they quietly stopped being a couple
several weeks ago."
The source added that the two remain on good terms: "They talk every day. They were friends before they started dating and they'll be friends after. It was a friendly [breakup]."
Split
rumors were sparked when Clooney, 52, and Keibler, 33, began spending a
lot of time apart in recent months. The pair reportedly celebrated last
week's Fourth of July holiday separately and were last photographed
together in March in Berlin, Germany, where Clooney was filming on location for his upcoming war drama The Monuments Men.
Clooney began dating Keibler in July 2011, shortly after splitting with Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis.
