Kidnapped 6-yr-old girl yet to be released

Enugu— Eight days after six-year-old Miss Kosisochukwu Akilo was kidnapped from her home in Enugu, the abductors had yet to contact the family.
A close family source who preferred anonymity told the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN yesterday that the family had remained in the dark about the whereabouts of the girl.
The source said the kidnappers made away with two mobile telephones belonging to the girl’s mother and wondered why they had not called.
“We are all worried about the development because it is more than a week since Kosi was kidnapped. Why are they doing this to the little girl,” the source said.
The source appealed to the police to intensify efforts in rescuing the girl.
Contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Enugu police command, Mr Ebere Amaraizu, told NAN that they were still working to rescue the baby.
Kosisochukwu was kidnapped two Sundays ago in their family house at No. 56, River Lane, GRA, Enugu.
