Manhunt for Warri kidnappers

Police in Delta State have begun manhunt   for the kidnappers of five persons in Warri on Sunday.
Two daughters of a Chevron Nigeria Limited contractor, aged two and nine years and their mother who works with Shell, were among those abducted by unknown persons around the  Effurum Roundabout, along Nigerian Ports Authority Airport Road.
However, it was learnt that two of the victims were left in the car when the kidnappers sighted an army car on patrol.
It was also learnt that the abductors of the victims had are yet to make contact with their relatives.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Charles Muka, said he could not confirm if any arrests had been made. But a source who witnessed the incident, told our correspondent that the police had not informed the family about any arrests.
“The car belonging to the the two lucky victims was towed to a nearby police station where they were asked to come with ‘proof of ownership,” the source said.
