Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun at the weekend said the Federal Government has approved the construction of a refinery in the state. The governor, who said this while addressing the people of Ipokia in Ipokia Local Government Area, said the decision was based on the report on oil discovery in the area. He said his administration would expand the Idi iroko - Ipokia road to prepare for the expected construction.
Amosun urged the Federal Government to rehabilitate the bridge between Ipokia and Badagary in Lagos State to boost the economy of the area.
