Police arrest 20 suspected gunmen in Kaduna

A special anti terrorism squad of the Nigeria Police from Abuja invaded Rigasa area of Kaduna metropolis and arrested 20 suspected gunmen, Daily Trust has gathered.
Daily Trust reports that from January to date, a total of eight persons were killed by gunmen in Rigasa, a densely populated suburb in Kaduna metropolis. Among them were four serving policemen and four civilians. Four other persons survived gun injuries. Our correspondent gathered that the special squad stormed Rigasa three times between Monday and Wednesday nights. Residents said the squad first went to the community on Monday and arrested some suspects. The state commissioner of police, Mohammad Jinjiri Abubakar, in a telephone interview confirmed the deployment of the special squad to the area but it was only four suspects they arrested.
