Stephanie, who has since reverted to her maiden name (Stephanie Adie Henshaw), revealed that she had known her Pastor Okotie for almost two decades.
Since June 24 that Pastor Okotie broke the news during a Sunday service at his House of God Church, the man of God has pleaded with the public to respect their decision and pray for them in these trying times.
But since Stephanie decided to take the matter to the public domain, sources in Lagos have confirmed to Olufamous.com that the 'big-grammar' pastor seems to agree with Stephanie to a large extent, but also believes that there were issues from other angles that she didn't make reference to.
Recall that Stephanie had attributed the break up of their marriage to lies from the enemies within. Here is what she said: “Lies, not from the world but the church; accusations not from the world, but the church. Where are the spirit filled Christians, the ones who fear and hear the Lord. My husband loves and adores me; he is not the one saying these things, the enemies from within who hate me. They hate the grace God showed me. They hate the mercy God has had on me. So, they come up with all kinds of lies. My going can bring one Mrs. Okotie, but what happens to the rest of you? You bring shame to the body of Christ out of your jealousy and selfish desire and in the process expose your pastor...."
However, sources say all is not well at the moment in both camps. According to what one of the source told Olufamous.com, Pastor Okotie agrees with her that external interference played a role leading to the "irreconcilable differences" that collapsed their marriage, but added that she also did not help issues. The source said, at best, Stephanie helped to fuel the so called lies by her actions.
Another source revealed that the matter is even more complicated than many could imagine, saying it seems another woman is already on the sideline. He said there are strong indications that she's set to take over Stephanie's position and becoming another "Mrs. Okotie".
