We Don’t Have Evidence To Prosecute #Farouk –Police

Another twist has been added to the controversial $620,000 bribery scandal between Mr. Femi Otedola and Hon. Farouk Lawan. From what Olufamous.com heard, the Nigerian Police Force has stated that they do not have enough evidence to drag Farouk to court.

“You just don’t rush to court for the fun of charging people to court. That is why courts are congested and that is why we don’t make progress. It does not make sense. It is unproductive; it is a waste of public resource,” Deputy Force spokesman, Frank Mba, said.

Olufamous.com gathered that the police authority are of the view that the evidences so far made available to them is not enough to secure a conviction against Farouk and are thus seeking for more.
Consequently, the Nigeria Police have urged Nigerians not to be carried away by the release of audio recordings of conversations in the bribery scandal between Farouk and Mr. Otedola.

Speaking on the release of two different audio recordings of conversation between the duo, Frank Mba stated that the Police has demanded for the full video component of the recording which should start from the beginning of its recording to help in the prosecution.
