Hours after news was broke that Patience, wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, was undergoing some sort of treatment in a German hospital for food poisoning, top insider sources aware of the situation have told Olufamous.com that all is not well in the Presidential Villa.
One source who craved anonymity, said it is suspected that whoever poisoned the President's wife and for whatever reason, might have carried out the act when she was still the wife of the vice president. The source told NIGERIA NEWS that madam Patience has been sick for sometime and that it is strange that it took this long before doctors could discover that she has poisonous substance in her system.
Recall that speculation were rife on Sunday that Patience Jonathan had been undergoing treatment in a German hospital for about four days. According to a Presidency source, “emergency airlift departed for Wisbanden, Germany,” with the First Lady, while another source said her voice was badly affected but doctors say she has a good chance.
Efforts made by a National daily to confirm both the health and whereabouts of the President’s wife on Sunday night were abortive. Calls placed to the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati; and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, were not picked.
