Lagos State Government Should Intervene In This Ugly Situation
Residents of Oke Street, Ahmadiyya, Abule-Egba area of Lagos State are calling on the state government to wake the authorities of OJOKORO LCDA to their responsibility.
These photos are evidence of the poor ongoing drainage construction works in the area. The residents are wondering why a reasonable contractor would execute such a bad job. The situation is so terrible that residents are on their kneels praying never to have any emergency that will require evacuation.
But unlucky for one of the residents, he has an adult brother who is currently bed ridding.
Taking him from the area to keep his appointment with doctors is now a big burden on the family. Aged parents are said to be suffering more, especially as an epidemic is imminent.
Residents are therefore calling on the chairman of OJOKORO LCDA to immediately call the contractor to order to avoid unnecessary deaths. The drainage is just far too higher than the road it is meant to service.
